Thomas Nicholls, aged 32, found guilty on an indictment for a burglary in the dwelling house of John Moorey in the parish of St Olave, Southwark on 23rd December 1785: stealing therefrom 3 linen capes (valued at 3/-), a linen cap with lace (valued at 18d), 4 pairs of linen cover sheets (valued at 1/-), a pair of linen Robins (valued at 1/-),  apir of black silk gloves (valued at 2d), 1½ yards of balck trimming for a gown (valued at 1d), ¾ yard of silk ribbon (valued at 3d), a muslin half handkerchief (valued at 1/-) and a linen towel (valued at 2d).
